An Appeal letter is usually written when an unfavorable decision or status has been imposed on a certain individual or party. The affected individual can write an appeal letter to state his dissatisfaction over the unfavorable decision and requests for a reconsideration to turn the unfavorable consequence. Justifiable reasons provided in an appeal letter lend weight to the reconsideration.

Dear Sir
RE: Appeal letter against transfer
I am writing this letter to appeal against the company’s decision to transfer me to its New York branch from the current location. I sincerely thank you for the trust and favor bestowed on me to select me as your preferred candidate for the transfer, but I will have to decline the opportunity at this moment.
The reason for my decline is that I have three schooling children who need my care and attention with 2 of them preparing for their major examinations in these two years. It would be unfair to relocate the whole family on my behalf.
I do hope that you will consider my appeal favorably and allow me to stay on at this branch until I can work out my family commitments to fit my work responsibilities.
Thank you.
Yours Truly,
Myra Reese
