·         Established purchasing policies utilizing second and third sources for parts which resulted in Baur-Dane assuming more competitive pricing position.

·         Classified purchasing details on 80 different production engines: implemented inventory control; greatly improved ordering efficiencies; and set up effective marketing service policies.

Accomplishment: Through expanded automation effected a labor cost reduction of $12 million annually. This was on $82 million in annual sales and the difference between a loss and substantial profit for management.

·         Supervised production machine shop which subcontracted to manufacture precision machine parts and assemblies for the electronic industry.

·         Shouldered full responsibility for this tractor-trailer maintenance company servicing the Shaw Line Haul Fleet consisting of 500 trailers and 200 tractors traveling New England and upper New York State.
